Stephanie is a highly experienced speech pathologist who is passionate about supporting children and young people to communicate with confidence and thrive in all aspects of life. She brings a warm, relationship-based approach to therapy and is committed to delivering holistic care that meets the unique needs of every child and family.
Since graduating from the University of Sydney in 2005, Stephanie has worked across a wide range of settings in both Australia and Hong Kong, including hospitals, schools, disability services, and private practice. Her career has included roles as both a clinician and manager, with a strong focus on collaborative, multidisciplinary care.
From 2014 to 2020, Stephanie served as Senior Speech Therapist at the English School’s Foundation (ESF) Jockey Club Sarah Roe School in Hong Kong. There, she supported students aged 4 to 19 with diverse communication needs, working closely with educators to design inclusive, communication-rich learning environments. During this time, she also provided training to parents, educators, and speech therapy students at The University of Hong Kong and the Chinese University of Hong Kong, with a particular focus on augmentative and alternative communication (AAC).
Stephanie’s clinical interests include AAC, feeding, speech sound disorders, and orofacial myofunctional therapy. She has strong skills in identifying and managing oral motor difficulties, including tongue ties, and works in partnership with dentists, ENTs, orthodontists and paediatricians to support optimal outcomes for her clients. Her practice includes pre- and post-frenectomy therapy, supporting children to strengthen and coordinate the oral structures required for effective speech and feeding.
She is trained in DIR/Floortime and has extensive experience supporting children and adolescents with complex developmental needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, and intellectual disabilities. Stephanie is passionate about empowering families, ensuring every child and young person has the tools and support they need to connect meaningfully with the world around them.
For Stephanie, the most rewarding part of her work is building strong relationships with children and their families and seeing the lasting impact of connection, communication, and confidence.
In the clinic, she brings a playful, engaging approach to therapy, with favourite activities including Outfoxed, Uno, and Kanoodle.
Stephanie is committed to evidence-based, neuro-affirming, and family-centred care that honours each child or young person’s strengths, preferences, and potential.
