Sammi is an Occupational Therapist who is passionate about supporting children and families through a neuro–affirming and family–centred approach. She is dedicated to creating a supportive environment where children are valued and empowered to build confidence and independence in their everyday lives.
She holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Sydney and a Master of Occupational Therapy from the University of Canberra. Sammi has experience working across mental health settings, private practice with mixed caseloads, paediatric clinic and community environments, as well as in workplace rehabilitation. This breadth of experience informs her holistic and practical approach to therapy.
Sammi has a particular interest in early intervention and supporting children to develop foundational skills that promote long–term confidence and independence. Her clinical focus includes fine motor skills such as handwriting, school readiness and self–care skills, as well as gross motor development including hand–eye coordination and crossing the midline. She also supports children with sensory processing differences, emotional regulation and play skills.
Sammi chose occupational therapy because she is passionate about the impact of early intervention. She believes that helping children develop essential skills from a young age creates a strong foundation for confidence, independence and ongoing success. She enjoys collaborating closely with both children and their families to work towards meaningful goals and to build confidence in everyday activities at home, at school and in the community.
Her sessions are engaging and play–based, incorporating games such as UNO and Spot It to encourage participation, connection and skill development.
Sammi is committed to neuro–affirming, family–centred practice, ensuring every child and family feels supported, included and celebrated for who they are.
