Lauren is a speech pathologist devoted to a total communication approach with children and their families.
She has a Bachelor of Speech and Language Therapy from University College, Cork in Ireland, and enjoys helping people in practical ways.
Lauren’s experience extends across individual and group sessions in clinic, specialised schools and preschool settings – targeting speech, language, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), dysfluency, social skills and feeding goals. She has also worked with adults with intellectual disabilities in community care settings.
Lauren enjoys building rapport with children and their families, including through games. She uses random objects of interest to a child and comes up with ways to use them to play a game – this is effective for children who don’t find joy in playing with traditional toys.
