Jen is an occupational therapist who is passionate about supporting children to reach their full potential through early intervention.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Dublin City University and a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh. She has a particular interest in supporting children under the age of 2, providing early intervention for children with developmental delays, neurological impairments, and physical disabilities, as well as specialist seating and postural management to support participation and prevent musculoskeletal deformities.
Jen’s career began in acute paediatric care, where she developed a strong interest in early intervention for children experiencing prolonged hospitalisation. Working closely with physiotherapists and speech pathologists, she found fulfilment in identifying at-risk infants and implementing strategies to support their development and family engagement.
She brings extensive experience in postural management, upper limb rehabilitation, and feeding support, believing that the right support at the right time can profoundly impact a child’s ability to participate meaningfully in everyday life. She has also worked across outpatient settings, supporting children with ASD, emotional regulation challenges, and fine and gross motor development.
When working with families, Jen is passionate about empowering parents with knowledge and practical strategies - helping them feel confident in supporting their child’s unique developmental journey. She finds joy in witnessing the positive impact of early intervention and in helping families navigate challenges with hope and clarity.
Her favourite way to play at the clinic is creating obstacle courses, combining fun and function to build skills and confidence through movement and play.
