Speech Therapy for Kids near Stanmore
Developing your child’s communication skills.
Speech pathology for every child
No two children communicate in quite the same way, and that’s something we celebrate. Because communication is a human right, we help each child connect on their own terms, whether they’re after a little extra support, navigating developmental differences or disabilities, or are neurodivergent.
At Inner West Paediatrics, our speech pathologists in Stanmore use evidence-based therapy interventions to help children achieve personalised speech, communication, and literacy goals.
Ways we support your child’s communication
Assessment, diagnosis, treatment and intervention across speech, language, communication, voice, feeding and fluency all sit within our speech pathologists’ scope of practice.
We partner with you and your child on a broad range of areas too, from speech sounds, reading and writing to eating, play, self-advocacy, and taking part in social life. Here’s what our speech pathology support may include:

Paediatric Autism Communication Therapy (PACT)
Led by parents with guidance from our team, PACT is an evidence-based therapy program for autistic children aged 2–11 and children with social communication differences. It helps parents and caregivers gain a deeper understanding of their child’s communication style and enrich everyday interactions through responsive, enjoyable strategies that grow connection and engagement.
Using video feedback, our PACT-trained therapists help you notice and respond to your child’s unique communication style. As the program unfolds, you’ll gain practical, evidence-based strategies that support communication by drawing on your child’s individual strengths, preferences and needs within your family’s everyday routines and interactions.
