Our areas of focus

Helping your child develop their understanding and use of language, including vocabulary, grammar, comprehension and expressive communication and receptive language skills.

Everyone deserves access to communication. We support children and young people to explore and use Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) when it can help them communicate more effectively. Our speech pathologists work closely with families to assess, trial and implement AAC systems that meet each child’s individual strengths, preferences and communication needs.

We support children to develop the literacy skills they need for learning and everyday life, including reading, writing, spelling and phonological awareness. When appropriate, we can also work alongside your child’s school team to support their literacy development across home and the classroom.

Our speech pathology services support children to develop clear, confident speech so they can be understood more easily in everyday conversations.

Play is at the heart of how children learn. Our therapy sessions use play-based activities that build on your child’s interests and strengths, creating a fun, engaging and low-pressure environment where they can develop speech, language, communication and confidence through meaningful interactions.

We support children who stutter to communicate with confidence using evidence-based, strengths-focused approaches. We work with your child and family to develop strategies that support comfortable, confident communication in everyday life.

We support children to build meaningful connections in the places that matter most to them and their families, including at home, school and in the community. Using strengths-based, neuroaffirming approaches, we help children develop the skills and confidence to understand and express their emotions, advocate for their needs, and build positive relationships in ways that work for them.

  • Adjust everyday routines to help your child take turns back and forth in interactions
  • Support your child’s understanding and use of language through responsive communication strategies
