Kaylee

Speech Pathologist

She/Her

Kaylee is a Speech Pathologist who is passionate about supporting children to communicate, connect and participate in ways that are meaningful to them. She values family-centred, neuroaffirming practice and creating inclusive environments where every child’s individual communication style is recognised, respected and supported.

Kaylee holds a Bachelor of Speech Pathology (Honours) and has clinical experience supporting children across speech, language, fluency and communication. Before becoming a Speech Pathologist, Kaylee worked as a School Learning Support Officer, giving her valuable experience supporting children within educational settings and working collaboratively with teachers, families and other members of a child’s support team.

Kaylee has particular clinical interests in early language and communication, speech sound development, phonological awareness, fluency and literacy. She also has a strong interest in AAC and multimodal communication, supporting children to access and use the forms of communication that work best for them.

Kaylee was drawn to Speech Pathology because communication plays such an important role in connection, relationships and participation. She loves that the profession brings together clinical reasoning and evidence-based practice with creativity, play and genuine relationships with children and their families.

One of Kaylee’s favourite parts of working with children and families is building genuine relationships and getting to know each child’s individual strengths, interests and communication preferences. She loves celebrating progress alongside families and seeing children become increasingly confident in communicating, connecting with others and participating in the activities and environments that are important to them.

Kaylee’s approach is warm, collaborative and strengths-based, with a focus on supporting each child’s individual way of communicating and working alongside families to make communication accessible and meaningful in everyday life.
