Dani is an Occupational Therapist with over five years of experience working with children and families. She has a particular interest in sensory processing and emotional regulation and has spent much of her career working with neurodivergent children and young people.
Dani holds a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours) and is CLASI Certified, with additional training and experience in Ayres Sensory Integration®. She enjoys helping children and families better understand their individual sensory needs and finding practical ways to support these at home, school and in the community.
Across her previous roles, Dani has worked with children with a wide range of strengths and support needs. She also has experience supporting families to access equipment and assistive technology, including wheelchairs and specialised classroom seating, as well as contributing occupational therapy evidence for children accessing AAC.
Dani first discovered Occupational Therapy while she was still in high school, after working as a support worker at a camp for children with physical disabilities. She loved helping the children get involved in activities and seeing what they could do with the right support. That experience introduced her to allied health and ultimately led her to Occupational Therapy.
One of Dani’s favourite things about working with children is that sessions can involve plenty of playing, laughing and being a bit silly! She enjoys getting to know each child as an individual and celebrating their wins and milestones alongside their family.
Dani brings a playful and practical approach to therapy and loves supporting children as they grow into their own unique person.
